Tasks:  
  • Analyze, identify, and ultimately remediate hazardous waste contamination at the Three Star Adonizing Site
  • Identify constituents of potential concern (COPCs) in the soil, ground water, surface water, and sediment at the site.  

Project Highlights:  
  • Observing current site conditions and evaluating potential migration pathways
  • Evaluating potential site impacts to fish and wildlife
  • Evaluating surface water in Wappingers Creek and the on-site lagoon for potential impacts due to migration of contaminants via surface runoff or ground water seepage
  • Evaluating sediment of Wappingers Creek and the on-site lagoon for potential site impacts
  • Evaluating the vertical and horizontal extent of the ground water contamination
  • Evaluating the potential for surface soil contamination due to past disposal practices and site flooding
  • Evaluating subsurface soil contamination
  • Designing and implementing an interim remedial measure (IRM) following a thorough delineation of the former MGP area
