Project Highlights:    
  • Pilot testing and basis of design development for the installation of a new MBBR system identified problems of additional operational complexity, potential odor considerations, and elevated implementation costs
  • Removed biofilters from service by expanding the conventional activated sludge system at the WWTP
  • Relocated the existing 69 kV power line that currently transects the WWP site and installed a new double-ended electrical substation Demolished primary clarifier as necessary to accommodate the footprint of the new activated sludge reactors
  • Constructed three new above ground activated sludge tanks with secondary containment
  • Installed new jet aeration system in each new activated sludge tank complete with in-basin aeration headerlnozzles, aeration blowers, and mixing pumps
