CSO-LTCP Post Construction Compliance Monitoring: A Case Study in the City of Binghamton Brian Platt, O’Brien & Gere Engineers; Ron Brown, City of Binghamton

In 2011, the City of Binghamton, New York, completed a Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Long Term Control Plan Post-Construction Compliance Monitoring Plan. The purpose of the plan was to determine if recently implemented CSO controls were working effectively and that the combined sewer overflows that reach receiving waters did not contravene water quality standards. This presentation will address the sampling methodology, results and challenges during the sample collection process.
