American Public Works Association (Georgia Chapter)
John Boneberg of O'Brien & Gere and Mark Wolff of the City of Roswell,GA will be jointly presenting at 2:30 PM on July 13, 2011 at the annual conference for the Georgia Chapter of the American Public Works Association. The conference will be held at the Sea Palms conference center, St. Simons, Georgia. Mark and John will share the City of Roswell's experience in developing a Local Energy Assurance Plan (LEAP) for the City of Roswell. This plan reviews the current status and vulnerability of the City's energy systems and develops a response plan in the event of an energy emergency such as shortage or man-made/natural disaster. The plan addresses petroleum, electricity, and natural gas and was prepared under funding from a Department of Energy Grant. The City of Roswell is one of only 43 municipalities to be awarded a grant under the Department of Energy's LEAP program, and the only municipality in Georgia.
