Clarkson University to Develop Engineering and Science Service Center,
University to unveil program in Fall of 2008 POTSDAM, NY - In the Fall of 2008, Clarkson University will officially begin the Clarkson Engineering and Science Service Center (CESSC). The CESSC is intended to provide students who intern or Co-op with its corporate partners with an opportunity to continue their professional development in a truly unique environment. The CESSC will provide students with a chance to apply their knowledge to real projects while working on the Clarkson University campus under the supervision of its corporate partners and their technical leadership. These positions will be compensated similar to summer internships. The first corporate partners, O’Brien & Gere and Burley-Guminiak & Associates, will offer a limited number of paid positions for students interested in working at CESSC. Ideal candidates will have completed course work in one of the following engineering or science disciplines – civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, electrical, or biology, chemistry, and physics. Preferred candidates will have held an internship or co-op position with a corporate partner. Candidates with related intern or Co-op experience with a non-corporate partner will also be considered.
