Repair Roof – C-17 Maintenance Management Facility -
Building 59

O’Brien & Gere, along with Lindbergh & Associates, provided detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for repair of the entire Standing-Seam Metal (SSM) roof system which had several problematic areas with mild to severe leaking. A complete survey of the existing roof system was performed to identify all necessary requirements for repair, maintenance, and upgrade; and to design a complete project to address all necessary work items. The project included coordination with occupants to identify specific problem areas; investigation of the building exterior to identify sources of leaks, maintenance and upgrade requirements, and potential problems; and investigation of interior ceiling spaces to determine the extent of any leak-related damage. The project also included replacement of all hip, valley, mechanical vents, VTR, and flashings in the designated work areas. After the investigation, a full written report was prepared including findings, repair options, recommendations, and cost estimates for government review.
