Building on a strong relationship based on mutual success, O'Brien & Gere has successfully delivered a new syringe packaging facility for this repeat pharmaceutical client, which was executed in a design-build format. There were two project goals, (1) convert an industrial warehouse into a Class 100K manufacturing area with multiple HVAC pressurization zones, and (2) complete the multi-discipline shell design and construction, including a building automation system (BAS), within a tight nine month timeframe. Using the design-build delivery method, services provided included engineering design, estimating, bidding assistance, procurement, construction, validation, commissioning, and turnover. The project was delivered on schedule, and under the budget of $2.4 million.
