Turning Wood into Ethanol Expanding the firm’s portfolio of alternative energy projects, O’Brien & Gere has entered into an agreement with the State University of New York College of Environmental Science & Forestry and Catalyst Renewables. The goal of this partnership is to create a refinery to produce ethanol from woody biomass feedstock including forests, agricultural crops, organic residue streams, and dedicated woody or herbaceous crops.
