Tasks:  
  • Designed and implemented an IRM, including removal of source of VOCs and ground water remediation by a recovery and treatment system
  • Developed and implemented design to address soils containing PCBs and PAHs
  • Prepared air and water (NPDES) permits
  • Assisted with community relations
  • Furnished technical support for litigation
  • Leased facility for $1/yr, maintaining responsibility for utilities, taxes, site security, and site management
  • Received payment from owner to remediate the site
  • Invested nearly $750,000 to develop manufacturing space and to improve 10,000 ft²
  • Constructed ground water collection sump and overburden recovery well
  • Performed aquifer performance tests
  • Prepared an operation and maintenance manual for ground water treatment system
  • Utilized a mechanical volatilization system to treat 3,000 to 5,000 yd³ as Class A office space, manufacturing, and training facility of TCE-containing subsurface soils

  • Designed and implemented IRMs to prevent ground water contamination
  • Develop work plans for site’s remedial design and action
  • Developed a mechanical volatilization system with a power screen, hammermill shredder, and pugmill to pulverize and sieve soil to an average particle size of 1/8-inch
