- Tested electrical equipment, including transformers and capacitors, for presence of PCB-containing oil
- Managed and prepared for decontamination and demolition of above-grade structures in accordance with regulatory requirements, including the PCB Mega-Rule
- Completed detailed assessment of buildings and structures
- Developed detailed Sampling and Analysis Plan
- Developed site-wide characterization to identify areas of concern related to presence of constituents of concern on site-wide structures
- Conducted pilot tests to identify relative effectiveness of remedial techniques
- Developed detailed decontamination and demolition plan
- Prepared required notifications, documentation, and reports
- Prepared bidding documents

Project Highlights:
- Property comprised 25 acres, 5 main buildings, and multiple smaller ancillary support buildings and structures
- Sampling and Analysis Plan maximized use of historical data to limit amount of samples required to meet project objectives
- Worked side-by-side with client to fine-tune Sampling and Analysis Plan and reduce project costs
- Over 150 multi-media samples were collected and analyzed from the five main buildings and multiple utility chases and structures
- Met with representatives of the Waste Management Group at PADEP to negotiate project goals and cleanup levels such that decontaminated building debris could be beneficially re-used as fill material on the site
- Site was successfully and cost-effectively decontaminated and redeveloped for industrial/commercial reuse
- Both PADEP and EPA’s requirements were successfully met, and site was ultimately sold and taken through the Act 2 Program
