Project Highlights:  
  • Blending of contents from two lagoons into usable mixture for incineration off-site as fuel
  • Design of pumping system to pump 3 MG of viscous, organic tar sludge into trucks for off-site disposal air emission control system to minimize volatile emissions
  • Design of on-site wastewater treatment system for oil-water separation, neutralization, and carbon treatment
  • Solidification-stabilization of remaining lagoon sludge
  • Encapsulation of lagoons following removal of aqueous layer
  • Design review, modifications, construction, and construction oversight of a one million yd3 RCRA on-site hazardous waste facility
  • Built in four cells, serving as a disposal site for dewatered, excavated, and treated lagoon materials
  • Utilization of stabilized material for internal berm of landfill cell, resulting in a $500,000 cost savings
