- Developed Project Execution Plan (PEP) detailing the project procurement strategy, engineering deliverables, construction sequencing, and detailed project schedule
- Procured long-lead equipment
- Constructed a 17,500 ft2 pre-engineered treatment building
- Incorporated two 550 ft long directional drills (20-inch and 18-inch) under an Interstate and County highway
- Rehabilitated an existing building for use as influent pumping station to treatment plant
- Erected two 250,000 gallon pressure and vacuum rated (+/- 5" w.c.) equalization tanks and domes
- Installed fiber optic connection between treatment plant and influent pump station
Project Highlights:
- Constructed Ground Water Treatment Plant (GWTP) and associated conveyance system using fast-track design-build approach
- Procurement of the treatment equipment was "performance-based" with evaluation based on capital and life-cycle costs, ability to meet the performance objectives, and ability to meet the project schedule
- Successfully integrated NYSDEC into the project team to facilitate interim reviews at key stages of the project
- Completed $12 million project in under 12 months
- Designed an aqueous treatment system to treat volatile and semi-volatile compounds, ammonia, and mercury in compliance with the Great Lakes Initiative
- Designed a 5,000 cfm regenerative thermal oxidizer and acid gas scrubber to provide 99% destruction efficiency
