With 360° Delivery Options™ aimed at reducing utility costs and project cycle time to build and upgrade water and utility facilities, the Utility Services Group provides design / build / operate / finance / acquire solutions. Multiple delivery methods and service agreements enable re-investment of resources into core business functions, adding value to your business. Each tailored delivery option involves an integrated approach that leverages technology, chemical, and equipment partners– all in one service agreement.

360° Delivery Options™

Market Leaders from O’Brien & Gere’s Utility Services Group will be pleased to meet with you to discuss specific issues and needs, and to explore the 360° delivery option and service agreement that makes the most sense for your operations.

In this option, O’Brien & Gere designs and builds (D-B) your facility to meet specific utility requirements for water and wastewater. The firm also provides project financing. In return, you pay a monthly service fee for a specified term. The benefit of this option is that it allows customers to upgrade their facilities today and receive an immediate benefit of lower utility costs and more efficient operations. In certain cases, this option reduces regulatory compliance risk and/or allows for a more immediate increase in production capacity. It also preserves capital for critical improvements and expansion of your production facilities.

Leveraging over 60 years of core expertise in water and wastewater facilities, O’Brien & Gere is able to design and build (D-B) facilities to meet utility needs, as well as operate and maintain (O&M) utility infrastructure. In today’s economy, it has become increasingly important to keep systems operating at peak performance. O’Brien & Gere has experience in providing clients with emergency and preventative operations and maintenance services. The Utility Services Group offers services and solutions to many types of systems and equipment, including heat processing, water treatment, wastewater treatment, HVAC, and cooling towers. The firm also offers a variety of comprehensive solutions designed to support the clients’ best interests while protecting valuable investments and assets.

In addition to operating and maintaining (O&M) utility infrastructure, as described above in Delivery Option 1 (D-B / Finance), O’Brien & Gere can upgrade and provide the finance capital necessary to improve the performance of utility systems in return for a monthly service fee for a specified term. Capital expenditures (CapEx) are expenditures used to acquire or upgrade physical assets. This option allows customers to upgrade their facilities today and receive an immediate benefit of lower utility costs and more efficient operations. CapEx preserves capital for critical improvements and expansion of production facilities. Operating costs are reduced through optimization and technology improvements.

Under this delivery option, O’Brien & Gere will operate and maintain (O&M) utility infrastructure for a monthly service fee. Similar to other delivery options for O&M, it has become increasingly important to keep systems operating at peak performance. O’Brien & Gere has experience in providing clients with emergency and preventative operations and maintenance services. The Utility Services Group offers services and solutions to many types of systems and equipment, including heat processing, water treatment, wastewater treatment, HVAC, and cooling towers. The firm also offers a variety of comprehensive solutions designed to support the clients’ best interests while protecting valuable investments and assets.

Similar to a lease, D-BOOM – design-build (D-B), own, and operate & maintain (O&M) - allows the option of owning your facility following a pre-determined term. In the meantime, O’Brien & Gere designs and builds a facility to your specifications, as well as owns, operates, and maintains the facility for a monthly service fee. The benefits of this option are that it allows customers to either build or upgrade their facilities today and receive an immediate benefit of lower utility costs and more efficient operations. This option preserves capital for critical improvements and expansion of your production facilities. Operating costs are reduced through optimization and technology improvements.

Under this product option, a single agreement transfers your utility operations and associated risk to O’Brien & Gere. This enables the client to focus resources on more strategic assets. In this delivery option, O’Brien & Gere will buy and operate your facility and we will continue to provide you with the utility services necessary to meet operational needs for a simple, monthly fee. As in the other O&M delivery options, it has become increasingly important to keep systems operating at peak performance and to utilize emerging technology to reduce overall capital and O&M costs.
