| Confidential Automotive Manufacturer, Mexico O'Brien & Gere implemented a recycle strategy that focused on utility reuse (cooling towers and irrigation). Process wastewater is treated for cooling tower make-up, while sanitary wastewater is treated and disinfected for green-space irrigation. The plant was designed to treat 250,000 gpd and recover 95% of the wastewater generated. This project demonstrated that conventional and advanced wastewater treatment unit operations can be synergistically integrated with plant operations and water needs to provide cost-effective green engineering and zero-discharge facilities.  |
