Confidential Client, Clayton, NC
A failed storm water retention basin at the Clayton facility brought O’Brien & Gere on site to evaluate and make recommendations for restoration. During the site visit, O’Brien & Gere and client personnel observed the storm water retention basin, the creek bed feeding the basin, and the storm water discharge outlet. Upon conclusion, O'Brien & Gere identified three repair options, and it was decided by the client to stabilize the eroded channel to provide spill response capability and permit sample collection at the basin.
O’Brien & Gere performed the preliminary design, and upon completion, developed a project schedule that encompassed final design, mobilization, construction, and clean-up/close-out on an accelerated schedule to meet the client’s schedule constraints. Estimated final project costs for design and construction were also included.
O’Brien & Gere also completed a wetlands delineation, and developed documentation to support a wetlands disturbance permit application required as part of a Pre-Construction Notification (PCN) Application Form to USACE.
