O’Brien & Gere was retained to assist this confidential client in completing feasibility studies and environmental assessments of properties in New York and Connecticut, for suitability as sites for new hangars to support corporate air administrative and activities and to house corporate aircraft.

At the airport, the proposed development of the hangar on approximately 7.5 acres of leased land required preparation of an environmental impact assessment in accordance with the NYS SEQR process, site characterization studies, wetlands mitigation permitting, and preparation of storm water pollution prevention plans for compliance with the NYCDEP regulations for the watershed. O’Brien & Gere prepared design drawings and specifications for construction of site/civil features, and provided assistance in the bid solicitation and selection process. O’Brien & Gere also participated on behalf of the client in the public review of the project.

O’Brien & Gere prepared final construction documents, and the supporting plans and specifications encompassed site, utility, grading, security, roadway, lighting, erosion and sediment control, retaining wall and wetlands mitigation components.
