O’Brien & Gere was responsible for the development and implementation of a records management program in the form of a Web-based IM/GIS for the City of Corning’s infrastructure system. The Web-based IM/GIS was created on an Autodesk Map platform and was published online using Autodesk MapGuide. As part of the program, O'Brien & Gere performed an informal needs assessment, integrated high resolution aerial photographs and a planimetric survey, developed a raster image catalog of high-resolution aerial photographs, and performed data capture, translation, database connectivity, and MapGuide theme authoring.

O'Brien & Gere also prepared an application for submission to the New York State Archives and Records Administration seeking funding for the City Web-based IM/GIS from the Local Government Records Management Improvement Fund. The submittal was successful, and funding was received to support the project.

This project also received a 2005 Gold Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York).
