O'Brien & Gere completed a Total Water Management Study for a utility company that serves 1.6 million residents of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. The total cost for water supply and wastewater handling was analyzed and holistic approaches were developed that reduced capital and operating costs, conserved water, and reduced flows to the regional wastewater treatment plant. The results are helping to defer major investments, while responding to public interest in the wise use of water.
