O’Brien & Gere is providing engineering support services to the Pyramid Companies as they develop the $2.2 billion shopping and entertainment extravaganza known as DestiNY USA across from the Carousel Center. The firm is providing a variety of site development services, including the preparation of modifications to Harborside Drive, which include widening roadways to accommodate turning lanes, developing alternative traffic patterns during construction, and relocating any utilities related to the road modifications. This work requires extensive coordination with DestiNY owners, and representatives from the City of Syracuse, Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, Onondaga County Department of Water Environment Protection (OCDWEP), the Department of Transportation (DOT), and regional cable and telephone companies.
