O’Brien & Gere provided engineering support associated with preparation of base maps for siting several wind farms in various communities throughout New York State. Coordination and mapping includes obtaining aerial photography, obtaining tax information in various formats to develop a composite drawing, incorporating state and federal wetland mapping, incorporating USGS data and existing structures locations.

O'Brien & Gere identified 215 turbine locations over four counties in New York State. O’Brien & Gere provided assistance in preparing the individual Lease Exhibit Plans to be presented to respective land owners. Additional effort included coordinating and construction of several meteorological towers at various locations to obtain background data to be used in siting wind turbines. O’Brien & Gere’s construction group installed the meteorological towers.
