Raymour & Flanigan Furniture, Clay, NY
The key issue to the client was schedule, and in order to meet corporate objectives - a 380,600 SF building expansion needed to be underway quickly.
O’Brien & Gere was retained by Raymour & Flanigan Furniture to provide surveying coordination, traffic analysis, storm water management planning, site plan design and layout, contract document preparation, town/county/NYSDEC approvals, and field inspections, as needed.
The fast-tracked traffic study involved data collection, existing and future traffic operations, identifying trip generation based on existing traffic at the distribution center, and coordination with Onondaga County Department of Transportation and the Town of Clay.
Other permitting issues included storm water management, Erosion & Sediment Control Plan preparation, and a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)resulting in coverage under GP-02-01 from the NYSDEC.
