Chris Kriegner presents at WODCON XXI
Chris Kriegner, PMP, a scientist at OBG and expert in natural resource management, recently presented at the 21st World Dredging Congress & Exhibition WODCON XXI—the only global event dedicated exclusively to dredging and maritime construction. Kriegner joined more than 120 other professionals presenting on dredging related developments and projects from around the world.
Best Management Practices for Endangered Species Act Compliance at Five Shallow-Draft Inlets in North Carolina: Many dredging projects have the potential to cause inadvertent, but potentially significant impacts to natural resources. Projects under federal oversight or funding must meet the consultation requirements outlined in Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act. In this presentation, Kriegner describes a three-step consultation approach for complying with the Act, and provides an example through the maintenance dredging permitting program for five shallow-draft inlets in North Carolina.
