Is your facility at risk for combustible dust?

Combustible dust is an often-unknown hazard in industrial facilities. This is because many people are unaware of what common combustible dust is and how dangerous it can be.

Combustible dusts are fine particles that present an explosion hazard when suspended in air in certain conditions. These dusts are present in nearly every manufacturing and industrial processing facility around the world—from advanced manufacturing to food processing and metalworking. And where there is potential for combustible dust, there is potential for an explosion that could cause serious damage to your facility and your people.

By understanding the risks of this hazard and the associated regulations, including codes and standards from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Code Council (ICC), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the risks can be minimized.

Learn more in the webinar OBG recently hosted:
Hazards of Combustible Dust. Moderated by OBG’s Andrew CasaSanta and presented by Reid Todd, PE on June 6, 2018, this webinar provides an in-depth introduction to combustible dust, including an overview of what it is, the hazards, and related codes and standards.
