One of the primary criteria in the pilot was to allow parallel testing at pilot scale so that decisions can be made using performance results on similar water through side-by-side testing. The only proof of the relative performance difference between process trains is to have this type of comparative data to analyze across multiple seasons and the full range of water quality excursions. The focus of this presentation is the four pretreatment process trains evaluated over a 12-month period and their potential application on a full-scale basis.
Pipe lining and coating technologies have been developed that offer the potential for lead service line rehabilitation at lesser cost than conventional replacement, at less physical disruption to the customer, and at reduced cost and greater production rates.
