Bill Norris elected Technical Chair of IT3/HWC Executive Committee

Bill Norris

OBG’s William (Bill) Norris has started his term as the Technical Chair of the Executive Committee of the International Conference on Thermal Treatment Technologies & Hazardous Waste Combustors (IT3/HWC). The thermal treatment conference provides a forum for the discussion of state-of-the-art technical information, regulations, and public policy on thermal treatment technologies and their relationship to air emissions, greenhouse gases, climate change, renewable energy or alternative energy production, and sustainability.

In this role, Bill is responsible for directing content for the IT3/HWC conference, as well as assisting the Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA) with various tasks. Bill will serve a two-year term as Technical Chair, followed by a two-year term as Past Technical Chair. Previously, he served as a member of the conference’s Program Advisory Committee, assisting with the design of technical sessions and serving as chair for various sessions and review of abstracts and papers. 

An OBG Thought Leader and combustion and air pollution control subject matter expert, Bill was selected for his industry knowledge, past contributions to the conference, and demonstrated strong qualities. With nearly 30 years of experience in the design, fabrication, installation, and operation of a variety of combustion, incineration, air pollution control, and waste heat recovery processes and systems, Bill leads OBG’s Air Pollution Control Technologies™ Group within the company’s advanced manufacturing business.
