Bill Norris Elected to IT3/HWC Executive Committee

OBG’s William (Bill) Norris has been selected for the Executive Committee of the International Conference on Thermal Treatment Technologies & Hazardous Waste Combustors (IT3/HWC) Conference as Vice Technical Chair. The thermal treatment conference provides a forum for the discussion of state-of-the-art technical information, regulations, and public policy on thermal treatment technologies and their relationship to air emissions, greenhouse gases, climate change, renewable energy or alternative energy production, and sustainability.

Bill NorrisIn this role, Bill will be responsible for planning and directing the content of the IT3/HWC conference, as well as assisting the Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA) with various obligations. Bill will serve a six-year term, including two years each as Vice Technical Chair, Technical Chair, and Immediate Past Technical Chair. Previously, he served as a member on the Program Advisory Committee for the conference, assisting in the design of technical sessions and review of abstracts/papers.

Bill, OBG’s leading combustion and air pollution control subject matter expert, was selected based on his industry knowledge, past contributions to the conference, and demonstrated strong leadership qualities. With nearly 30 years of hands-on experience in the design, fabrication, installation, and operation of a variety of combustion, incineration, air pollution control, and waste heat recovery processes and systems, Bill leads OBG’s Air Pollution Control Technologies™ Group and Waste Heat Recovery Initiatives.
