Maureen Hoke invited to Savannah Women in STEM Industry LuncheonOBG News,
Maureen Hoke, PE, a vice president and leader within OBG’s environment and energy brands, was invited to take part in the first annual Savannah Women in STEM Industry Luncheon, sponsored by the Armstrong University Alliance for Women in STEM, on April 14, 2017 at Armstrong State University (ASU) in Savannah, Georgia. The event recognized local women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers for their success, as well as provided students the opportunity to learn about different STEM career paths.
As a guest of the event, Maureen offered her perspectives and experiences working in the STEM industry, and specifically, leading OBG’s environmental compliance practice, as well as the company’s environment practices in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, including site investigation and remediation, environmental compliance, permitting, and due diligence solutions.
The program aimed to help the alliance increase the visibility of local and regional women in STEM, continue building a community of ASU women in STEM majors and inspire others to purse STEM careers, and provide a community-based forum for discussion.
